Flug Facts and Analysis
Based on what we see in canon itself, Alan Ituriel's conferences and the questions he answers on Twitter, this is a list of what we know of Flug so far. *= My own conjecture and headcanon based on these facts
-Dr. Flug is Black Hat's right hand man.
-Flug is one of the world's most brilliant Scientists but his clumsiness and nervous tendencies often get in the way of earning him the recognition he deserves.
*A particularly good reason why working for villains just makes sense. Villains love to feel powerful and Flug's perpetually timid nature only allows them look more menacing. Unlike common society, Flug doesn't have to pretend he isn't two beats short of having a heart attack, if anything it is encouraged. Flug took his meek nature and turned it into an advantage.
-Although the exact reason he wears one has yet to be confirmed, Alan has stated that Flug is rather cleansy and changes his bag at least once a day, he also wears it to the point that no one, except for Black Hat, has ever seen Flug eat, except for when he can use a straw in order to not remove it.
-He is actually certified as a 'Mad Scientist' and has a PHD proving it.
-Not only is Flug capable of creating anti-gravitational devices, and machines capable of altering reality from a mere thought but he also created Cambot and 5.0.5 who is indestructible.
-5.0.5 was the result of his attempt to create the perfect evil creature out of several evil things. It failed. Tremendously. He promised Black Hat he would teach the Bear how to be evil.
*He is secretly happy he failed. It's nice having one inhabitant of Black Hat manor not threatening his life on a daily basis. Black Hat likely does not expect Flug to actually succeed in making 5.0.5 evil. The bear is just their immortal housekeeper now. It's an unspoken thing they have both accepted at this point,
-In addition to his numerous doctorates, Flug also has his driver's license and his pilot's license.
-Alan confirmed Flug is between 25-27 years old

-As pathetic as he may seem, Flug IS a villain. As a mad Scientist and evil genius he has rather loose morals and the potential for sadistic tendencies. In the PPG review, it is Flug who ends up torturing the victim at the end of the episode and he does it gleefully; despite having cried over the creature's so called back-story moments before.
*Although Without Black Hat, Flug knows he is too weak to make it in the world of villainy on his own. He'll kill without second thought if it's part of his job but he has no one to really exact vengeance on or a bloodlust to satisfy when it comes to his own whims. As much as he may claim to yearn for power and grandeur, the fact is he lives vicariously through his idolization of Black Hat and is quite content about it.

*Flug has an extreme apathy for humanity as a whole, at best. While he may claim his status as a genius makes him 'better' than anyone else, it's more of an excuse to cover how little he relates to the rest of his species. He likely never considered himself a part of society and joining the ranks of criminals has only fostered that belief. His intelligence makes him quickly annoyed with the naivety and stupidity of the masses but his lack of being able to articulate that genius from his general nervousness kept him out of the spotlight with the upper class. Even being a reknowned Scientist is still something of a popularity contest, no one cares how smart you are when you are awkward socially.
*Flug likely sees BH not just as a boss but a mentor of sorts. If anyone is capable of bringing the evil out of him and shaping him into the villain he really wants to be, it would be monster who was so successful at world domination he became bored of it. Flug likely stays with Black Hat because the man's gruff nature helps push Flug to do impossible things. It's a lot easier to rationalize freaking out and fearing for your life if you can't do your job right, when your boss actually IS an unholy terror, rather than going to pieces at a customer service job you're overqualified for.
-Flug has a collection of planes he has stolen from around the world-- presumably moments before they crashed. he shrinks them down to the size of models and places them on his shelf.
-The CNLA 25th Anniversary Live Stream also confirmed the Plane sticking out of the manor is definitely linked to Flug
*The green light on the jars may hint of the vehicle being a stasis of sorts; preserving the people and the state of the plane seconds before its moment of disaster for all time.
-Other than planes, plane crashes and Science, Flug also enjoys dinosaurs.
-Flug does care for 505 and Demencia, almost as siblings. In the third of the comic installments, he is seen comforting the Bear in front of a horror film, rather than chastising the creature, giving further evidence to his gentle nature.
-Although the signs are subtle, Flug does care for his boss's well being as well. Not only does he continue to use 'pet/nick' names for the man even when he isn't present but his first thought when Demencia reveals Black Hat is out in an apocalyptic storm isn't "what could he be doing out there" but rather "he's out there, in that?!" despite knowing his boss is impossible to destroy.
-There is a picture (playing homage to the Godfather) of Black Hat's and Flug meeting a Mafia boss
-Flug attended Black Hat's Academy and wants Black Hat's approval.

*It isn't that Flug is suicidal--but he isn't so naive as to think Black Hat really won't kill him if he outlived his usefulness. Better to be discarded than actually fired and thrown back into a world he never belonged to. Knowing he doesn't have to plan for that future is an odd comfort. His conscience is clearer when he reasons that he will just be killed if he refused anyway.
All in all, Life is just BETTER when you're evil. Black Hat's might scare the living day lights out of him and bang him around a bit, but Flug knew what he signed up when he got hired by a Supervillain. All in all, he's happier with these odd life choices than he ever would have been on his own.

*From this we can infer Black Hat's does sometimes take him on trips to meet clients, and has some degree of trust in the human's competence despite his frequent insults.
-Flug is bilingual! While the show does have both an English and Spanish dub, implying no structured language base for the Universe, recent documents found about Metauro, a client, were written in both Spanish and English, signed by the doc himself.
-Flug is so out of depth with human interaction that he has a How-to pamphlet instructing him on how to talk to people.
